Author interview with Johnny Miles

Author interview with Johnny Miles
What was your childhood ambition?
I don’t think I ever really had a childhood ambition. I more had dreams and wishes for things I wanted to see happen, like world peace. The end of poverty, disease and famine. Yeah. I was a dreamer. Even now, at the risk of sounding like Miss America, I still want world peace and solutions that will end hunger, homelessness, diseases. Solutions to our dependency on oil would also be very cool! Author Interview with Primula Bond

Author Interview with Primula Bond

What was your childhood ambition?
Predictably enough, to be a famous writer with my novels displayed in the window of WH Smith.  I wrote my first novel when I was 8.
What was your first job?
Sitting in a modern art gallery off Regent Street handing out brochures and smiling sweetly at the punters.  Also handing round drinks at private views where I met various celebrities including Princess Margaret!  I regularly got propositioned by artists including a lovely Irish one called Clancy who succeeded in painting my portrait.  I wish I had it now – I was in my pre-Raphaelite prime at 18 years old! Author Interview with Chrissie Bentley

Interview with Chrissie Bentley

Q. What was your childhood ambition?

To be a writer… I just hadn’t decided what I wanted to write.

Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?

Initially (seven years ago) to relax, and to take my mind off a failed relationship… revenge therapy.  But then I discovered how much I enjoyed the writing process, and began publishing stories online. Continue reading “Author Interview with Chrissie Bentley”

Author interview with Leilani Black

Interview with Leilani Black

What was your childhood ambition?

To sing in a rock band.

What ambitions do you still have?

To be a successful writer. My singing is now limited to Honolulu karaoke bars, at home, or with friends over for a party.

How did you end up being an erotic writer?

My older sister, as a teen, got me hooked on category romances. We would cut class and go to the public library. The second floor loft was where romance paperbacks were kept, and we’d hole up there for hours. When the librarians realized there were a couple of teens playing hooky, they would kick us out. Author interview with Kay Jaybee

Interview with Kay Jaybee
Q. What was your childhood ambition?
Rather predictably, I always wanted to write and have a book published. I still can’t believe it’s happened!! My first solo work, The Collector (Austin & Macauley, 2008), has been out for 18 months now, and I’ve just had 2 e-books published by Xcite (Quick Kink 1 and Quick Kink 2). I get a massive high out of getting my work is in print, whether it’s an individual story, a poem or entire book. I really hope I never lose that buzz. Author interview with Roger Frank Selby

Interview with Roger Frank Selby

Q. What ambitions do you still have?

To  live long and prosper, and thus launch my family. (Still seem to be launching them in my sixties).

To break into mainstream Science Fiction. I’ve just had an erotic SF novella published by Xcite – Ice Commander. This is a good beginning.

To still be alive when there is evidence of life and/or intelligence elsewhere in the universe/ multiverse. Continue reading “Author interview with Roger Frank Selby”

Author Interview with Tracey Shellito

Interview with Tracey Shellito

Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?

A. I’m not sure I’d say I am an erotic writer. While my work would definitely fall into that category, I’d prefer to think of myself as a writer whose work also features erotica. Though certainly my first novel was controversial enough that the distributors didn’t know which shelves it should be displayed in – crime or erotica – so much so that the cover photograph had to be made more ‘arty’ to allow it to appear in both. Author Interview with Kitti Bernetti

Interview with Kitti Bernetti

Q. What was your childhood ambition?

To be an actress.

Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?

I had a go because erotica frees up the imagination like no other form of writing. It’s fantastically liberating.

Q. What are the most important components that go into making good erotic fiction?

Ya gotta have a good story. Respect your reader. It’s no good having the sex without a great story to carry it. Continue reading “Author Interview with Kitti Bernetti”

Author Interview with Victoria Blisse

Interview with Victoria Blisse

Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?

A good question if ever I’ve read one. I’ve always loved writing. I’ve been a little bit of a poet since being a child and wrote short little romances in my teenage years so I’ve always fancied myself as an author.

My journey into erotic writing started with a dream that I had that just would not let me go. My husband suggested I wrote it down and then suggested I shared it with others. Well, once I took the plunge I found I couldn’t stop! The ideas started coming thick and fast and I became addicted to the feedback I got from posting my stories online and as a natural progression for that one day I saw a call for submissions and had a suitable story for it. I submitted the story and next thing I know I am a published erotic romance author. Continue reading “Author Interview with Victoria Blisse”
