My older sister, as a teen, got me hooked on category romances. We would cut class and go to the public library. A. I’m not sure I’d say I am an erotic writer. While my work would definitely fall into that category, I’d prefer to think of myself as a writer whose work also features erotica. Though certainly my first novel was controversial enough that the distributors didn’t know which shelves it should be displayed in – crime or erotica – so much so that the cover photograph had to be made more ‘arty’ to allow it to appear in both. Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?
A good question if ever I’ve read one. I’ve always loved writing. I’ve been a little bit of a poet since being a child and wrote short little romances in my teenage years so I’ve always fancied myself as an author.
My journey into erotic writing started with a dream that I had that just would not let me go. My husband suggested I wrote it down and then suggested I shared it with others. Well, once I took the plunge I found I couldn’t stop! The ideas started coming thick and fast and I became addicted to the feedback I got from posting my stories online and as a natural progression for that one day I saw a call for submissions and had a suitable story for it.
