Interview with Tracey Shellito
Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?
A. I’m not sure I’d say I am an erotic writer. While my work would definitely fall into that category, I’d prefer to think of myself as a writer whose work also features erotica. Though certainly my first novel was controversial enough that the distributors didn’t know which shelves it should be displayed in – crime or erotica – so much so that the cover photograph had to be made more ‘arty’ to allow it to appear in both. Interview with Kitti Bernetti
Q. What was your childhood ambition?
To be an actress.
Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?
I had a go because erotica frees up the imagination like no other form of writing. It’s fantastically liberating.
Q. What are the most important components that go into making good erotic fiction?
Ya gotta have a good story. Respect your reader. It’s no good having the sex without a great story to carry it. Continue reading “Author Interview with Kitti Bernetti”

Interview with Victoria Blisse
Q. How did you end up being an erotic writer?
A good question if ever I’ve read one. I’ve always loved writing. I’ve been a little bit of a poet since being a child and wrote short little romances in my teenage years so I’ve always fancied myself as an author.
My journey into erotic writing started with a dream that I had that just would not let me go. My husband suggested I wrote it down and then suggested I shared it with others. Well, once I took the plunge I found I couldn’t stop! The ideas started coming thick and fast and I became addicted to the feedback I got from posting my stories online and as a natural progression for that one day I saw a call for submissions and had a suitable story for it. I submitted the story and next thing I know I am a published erotic romance author. Continue reading “Author Interview with Victoria Blisse”

Interview with Elise Hepner
Q. What was your childhood ambition?
My first ambition as a kid was to be a veterinarian because I loved animals—and still do. But once I found out that I would have to see them hurting all the time I quickly squashed that idea. After that, it was all writing, all the time. I had just read Gone with the Wind and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and I was obsessed with epic sagas. So at the tender age of ten I wrote my own sweeping, puke worthy little series. The habit kind of stuck with me and I haven’t stopped writing sense—though my books have gone a little less dramatic and a lot more raunchy! Continue reading “Author Interview with Elise Hepner”

Interview with Kristina lloyd
Q. What was your childhood ambition?
To be a teacher. My world was quite small.
Q. What ambitions do you still have?
To be a better writer, always. And to publish in a different genre. I love erotica but there are other areas I’m hungry to explore more fully.
Q. What was your first job?
Working on a fruit and veg stall on an outdoor market in a small Northern town. It was bitterly cold in winter and we had to wear so many layers it was a struggle to move. I spent all my money on music, clothes and nightclubs. Continue reading “Author interview with Kristina Lloyd”

eBook Review for Six of the Best Spanking Stories edited by Miranda Forbes
By Alana James
As a collection these six spanking tales work together very well. The plots are varied, sometimes surprising, there is a mix of male and female perspectives, and one male submissive story (The Credit Crunch by Congressio) amidst the expected female bottoms. I particularly enjoyed the range of spanking implements on offer; from bare hands and a ruler through to a birch twig and a wooden spoon. Each with differing effects upon the proffered flesh.
