An interview with Paige E. Roberts
What was your childhood ambition?
My greatest ambition from about the age of 11 when I started my first novel was to be a writer, but for many years, I let the world convince me that it was an unrealistic ambition. I pursued other things, but eventually came back to what I loved most. I now make my living as a “technical content developer” which is a fancy way to say, I write, and do multi-media and web projects to go with what I write. My day job combines my love of art, of people, and of writing. And, at the end of the day, when I want to do something just for the joy of it, I write fiction.
What ambitions do you still have?
My ambition is still to be a writer. I’d like to publish a bunch more mainstream fiction, make enough money to quit my day job, and go to book signings every weekend. Continue reading “An Author Interview with Paige E. Roberts”

Interview with Alcamia Payne
What was your childhood ambition?
To be a writer and inspire other people with words.
What ambitions do you still have?
To follow my dream and to just keep improving as a writer, penning stories which open people up emotionally, mentally and spiritually. If one of my stories makes someone smile or inspires them to change or look at the world a bit differently, I’ll feel I’ve really achieved something! Author Interview with Beverly Langland
What was your childhood ambition?
To become an astronaut. I was at the perfect age for the excitement of the race into space to capture my young imagination. I remember staying up all night to watch the moon landing with my parents and afterwards making plastic models of the Apollo launcher and the Eagle landing craft. It’s a shame that such excitement has gone from the world, with trips into space now reported as an afterthought. Needless to say, the Welsh space program was severely limited, thwarting my ambition. The closest I achieved was to become an aerospace engineer. Still, the excitement fuelled my hunger for SF stories and reading in general. Continue reading “Author Interview with Beverley Langland”

Interview with Eleanor Powell
What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to be a writer. This ambition was fuelled by my teacher who wrote on my school report – that ‘Eva has an individual way of expressing herself.’
I had no idea about genres at that time – I just wanted to be a writer.
On my eleventh birthday I had a poem published in our Saturday night newspaper. They paid me 5/- for it – about 25p, that was not bad considering it was sixty years ago. Continue reading “Author Interview with Eleanor Powell”
